Finally, it’s here! After months of ambiguity, the full Soundwave Revolution line-up has been unveiled. Topping the bill is Van Halen, joined by such acts as Alice Cooper, Bad Religion, Hole, Yellowcard Alter Bridge, All Time Low, Sum 41 and The Used and tons more over 6 stages. It’s shaping up to be the most anticipated day festival line-up of recent years, not to mention one of the best kept secrets. Yesterday, Soundwave head honcho Aj Maddah tweeted the following fill-in-the-blanks lyric clue:
“Ashes To Ashes Funk To Funky We Know Major Tom’s A Junky Strung Out In Heaven’s High Hitting An _____”
Any David Bowie fan (or anybody with Google) will be able to tell you that the next line is “All Time Low”. The CtrlAltRock pop-punk favourites previously played Soundwave in 2008 and 2010. Stay tuned for any updates on the elusive line-up, including the “bigger than KISS” headliners.
Soundwave Revoultion have finally announced the dates for what looks to be the best lineup a day festival has seen anywhere in the world in years! No sign of actual venues yet but the tour will be making stops at the following cities:
24.09 – Brisbane
25.09 – Sydney
30.09 – Melbourne
01.10 – Adelaide
03.10 – Perth
A full announcement will be made April 28th but so far the lineup includes the following artists:
Sum41, Thursday, Yellowcard, D.R.U.G.S, Funeral For A Friend, We Are The In Crowd, The Dangerous Summer, Set Your Goals, Hellogoodbye, The Damned Things, Every Time I Die, Madina Lake, Make Do And Mendm We Are The Ocean, Story Of The Year, Four Year Strong, The Swellers, This Providence, and Young Guns.
This is one tour you aussies (and many of the rest of us!) won’t want to miss!
Today Set Your Goals confirmed that they would be playing the festival alongside previously confirmed acts such as Four Year Strong, The Swellers, This Providence, Young Guns, and Terrible Things. Dates and a full lineup have yet to be announced for Soundwave Revolution, but we’re stoked!
A host of new bands have been added to the somewhat mysterious aussie-based project Soundwave Revolution. The Damned Things, In This Moment, The Swellers, Every Time I Die, Four Year Strong, This Providence and Madina Lake are just a few of the latest additions. We still don’t know much about the tour/festival, but it sure does sound exciting!

Word on the street is that Soundwave Touring; the brains behind the epic Aussie Summer tour that is Soundwave are in the midst of creating a new festival: Soundwave Revolution. The company seem to be rather tight-lipped on the project thus far, but word has spread on the internet and gained their facebook page an impressive 9,000+ followers already. The only band thus far confirmed is CtrlAltRock favourites Young Guns. Stay tuned for more info!
